Lampshades collect a fair amount of dust over time. Depending on the design, they are also usually attached to a light bulb as well. Remember to gently dust off the lampshades being careful not to accidentally break the light bulb in the process.
This task seems easy, but lampshades are really difficult to clean. Clothes don’t seem to work on the fabric fibers of the lampshades, and you don’t want a damp cloth that could create water discoloration of the lamp shade.
The perfect tool for the job is a lint brush. Just run the brush up and down the lamp shade and it will pick up all the dust on the shade. Here is a video from Partner BT Mouse.
