How to steam clean upholstery
If you rent a steam cleaning machine to clean your upholstery, make sure your follow the directions. These instructions may include guidance on what kind of solution to use, whether it is water, or a specialized solution.
Most steam cleaners operate on the basic principle of a clean solution, an area for the dirty water and steam to collect, and the wand to actual do the work. When you use the wand, make sure to slightly overlap your strokes. This also gives you a chance to flip over all the sides of the cushions, and to even clean the sides and back.
