Investors validate a digital home platform for the entire homeowner lifecycle
SACRAMENTO, CA HomeZada, a digital home information platform for the entire homeowner lifecycle, has closed on a $2.1M Seed round. Investors include a venture firm, individual angels and the company founders. The funding will accelerate the development of the platform, increase brand awareness and marketing to acquire new users.
HomeZada has proven that consumers value a single online application to manage key information about their home. HomeZada provides consumers with automated home maintenance schedules, tools to budget and plan home improvement projects, and the ability to keep a digital home inventory of their home’s fixed assets and possessions.
“Our consumer traction is with users who realize that their home is their largest asset that needs to be managed in order to increase the value while saving money maintaining it,” said Elizabeth Dodson, co-founder of HomeZada. “This seed round validates our vision and provides the funding to grow our user base, our subscription revenues, and expand the platform to handle the entire homeowner lifecycle.”
The investors in this round are based in the Sacramento region as well as across the United States. “Our investment in HomeZada is part of continued support of early stage companies in the Sacramento region,” said Lokesh Sikaria, Managing Partner of Moneta Ventures who participated in the round. “HomeZada has a solid long-term vision and the founding team has previous success building a software company.”
The concept of consumers managing their own digital home records in a single online application for their largest financial asset is an enormous opportunity. HomeZada is easy for consumers to adopt because of the various templates and smart recommendations that proactively inform homeowners on what, how and when tasks need to get done.
“Managing a home can be tricky and time consuming if you cannot find what you need, when you need it, in one location. HomeZada addresses this need and keeps homeowners better organized and informed about their homes,“ states Dodson. “HomeZada has been a truly valuable solution in my personal life managing the many details of my own home.”
